Tim-Wheeler

Tim Wheeler brings over 32 years of automotive aftermarket, OE and performance vehicle experience and relationships to the Hart Marx Advisors team. Throughout his career, he has created sales and marketing programs for a wide variety of automotive and performance products and developed longstanding and trusted relationships within every type of customer segment.

Tim most recently managed the OEM and Special Markets Division of WELD Racing, LLC and MOMO Performance, based in Kansas City, KS, which specializes in high performance wheels and safety products.

Prior to WELD Racing, LLC and MOMO Performance, Tim was vice president, sales and marketing, for ROUSH Performance, where he implemented parts and vehicle growth initiatives with Ford dealerships and performance parts distributors, expanding distribution from three countries to over 25 countries around the world from 2010 to 2017. ROUSH Performance was named SEMA’s Exporter of the Year in 2017, recognizing their commitment to global growth, as a result.

Tim spent seven years with Delphi Corporation, initially part of a small team that outlined and implemented successful distributor programs built on the Delphi OEM value proposition to the traditional aftermarket. Tim became vice president, sales, North America, and lead the organization’s sales efforts with retail, national accounts, specialists and aftermarket distributors.

Beginning his career in the automotive aftermarket at Federal-Mogul Corporation, Tim held a variety of sales, marketing and customer service positions.  As the internet began to develop as a commercial business tool, Tim was named Federal-Mogul’s first eBusiness director in 1997.

Throughout his career, Tim has been involved in a variety of mergers, acquisitions and implementations, and understands the importance of a company successfully reaching their growth or divestiture goals – knowledge that he looks forward to passing on to Hart Marx Advisors clients as they go through the M&A process.

Tim graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Hope College in Holland, MI and earned and executive MBA from the Richard DeVos Business School at Northwood University in Midland, MI. Outside of the office, Tim enjoys golf, boating, muscle cars, vintage tractors and home renovation projects.
