Tom Marx to Help Students in Heavy Duty Leadership Course “Survive and Thrive” Company M&A Activities

Will speak July 24 at Northwood campus in Michigan for University of the Aftermarket program

San Rafael, CA – Tom Marx, CEO of Marx Group Advisors will address “Surviving and Thriving During a Merger, Acquisition, Divestiture or Other Change in Ownership” on Wednesday, July 24 at the Northwood University campus in Midland, Mich. His presentation is part of the University of the Aftermarket’s weeklong Heavy Duty Leadership educational conference.

In a 2003 article in Entrepreneur Magazine, Nevada Brake was acknowledged for its installation of software that allowed the company to trim 10 percent of the company’s logistical outlay and optimize the customers’ buying experience.

“Mergers, acquisitions or any change in ownership are a frequent reality within companies today,” explained Marx, “and most employees will experience this scenario at some point in his or her career. My goal is to supply heavy duty industry leaders with real world, practical advice on how to both survive and thrive during any type of ownership change.”

Marx will provide students with strategies on how they can be their best during a merger or acquisition. He will also provide advice on managing the people that work for them during this type of transition and how to contribute to make sure the deal is a success.
