David Barbeau

David Barbeau has led the global aftermarket business for two premier Tier 1 automotive manufacturers, Delphi Technologies and TI Automotive. He was responsible for the profitable growth of these aftermarket businesses in all regions of the world, driven by developing a robust product portfolio, building the brands, expanding geographic penetration and growing the customer base with a strong value proposition. Barbeau also has hands-on experience in the distribution business as he was co-founder of an automotive parts and equipment distribution company, Auto Parts Express LLC. This successful distribution business was sold to General Parts, Inc. (CARQUEST); now part of Advance Auto Parts.

With this deep and extensive experience, Barbeau has been providing business improvement advice to companies in the automotive aftermarket though his company, Barbeau Consulting LLC. Barbeau is considered an expert in the China Aftermarket having spent much time building business there and in consulting with China-based companies.

In 2016, Barbeau served as the Chairman of the Board of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association, and was on the boards of the Automotive Sales Council and the Auto Care Association. Barbeau serves as an Executive Advisor to IGB Battery Limited China, an automotive parts distribution company with locations throughout China.

Barbeau has a bachelor’s degree in finance, and an MBA in finance from Saint Louis University. He has been a guest lecturer at Tulane University’s Executive MBA program. Barbeau is a Veteran of the United States Army. He resides in the Houston metro area.
